Tim McGraw has hit the big 5-0.
Billboard.com says the country star's latest hit, "Southern Girl," has moved up three spaces this week into the number nine spot on the Country Airplay chart, marking his 50th top ten hit on the list.
He began his impressive chart career 19 years ago with "Indiana Outlaw," which peaked at number eight in April 1994. Since then, he's placed 49 other songs into the top tier, with 26 of them going all the way to number one.
"Southern Girl" is McGraw's fourth single from his most recent album, Two Lanes of Freedom, and they've all reached the top ten. "Truck Yeah" peaked at number ten last October, and Tim recently performed his hit recently at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. Check it out:
"One Of Those Nights" spent three weeks at number one in March of this year, and "Highway Don't Care" - his duet with Taylor Swift - topped the chart for two weeks in June.
"Billboard" adds that McGraw's name actually appeared in the top ten a 51st time - again with Taylor Swift. Her debut single "Tim McGraw" rose to number six back in 2007.
