How To Celebrate Earth Day In ABQ Today

April 22, 2024

  • Today is Earth Day, a day that emphasizes protecting the environment and the planet.
  • There are simple ways to celebrate, I planted a new cherry tree yesterday and a new Austrian Pine in my yard and took out a couple of high water shrubs.
  • Everyday actions count too, like going to a local park for a clean-up or picking up trash.
  • NASA is also asking everyone to go outside and take a photo of themselves in their part of the world, then post it to social media with the hashtag #GlobalSelfie.

  • There are simple ways to celebrate, I planted a new cherry tree yesterday and a new Austrian Pine in my yard and took out a couple of high water shrubs.
  • Everyday actions count too, like going to a local park for a clean-up or picking up trash.

NASA also has a big goal for Earth Day. They want you - and everyone else on the planet - to celebrate with a selfie. They’re asking people to go outside and take a photo of themselves in their corner of the world, then post it to social media with the hashtag #GlobalSelfie. Bonus points if your pic includes a
