Amazing Act of Kindness From The Band Perry
The Bottom Line:
The group offers to pay for funeral in tragic Kentucky fire.
You probably heard about the tragic fire in Greenville, Kentucky last week. A mother and eight children – all under the age of 16 – were killed in a house fire in Greenville, Kentucky last Thursday. Now, the Band Perry is stepping up to help the family in the wake of a tragedy – offering to pay for the funerals.
The only survivors include the children's father Chad Watson and an eleven-year-old girl, who are both hospitalized at Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Family friend Pam Burden says she doesn't know why the group stepped up with such a generous offer, explaining that "the family doesn't have any personal connection to the band before now." But the group's publicist Brian Bumbery confirms that the country stars have extended their financial support to the family. Either way – it’s an amazing gesture. One they should be applauded for. So we will.
