Shelton wants to be your "Sunshine"
Blake Shelton has new music on the way – as in, a new album will arrive in stores next month! Blake made the announcement the day after entertaining more than 60,000 country music fans at a free oceanside concert on the Jersey Shore.
Keep your eyes peeled for "Bringing Back the Sunshine" to drop September 30th. He’s also unveiled the cover art, which features a black-and-white photo of a water tower that reads "Ada," the name of his Oklahoma hometown, with rays of sunlight breaking through dark clouds overhead. "Bringing Back the Sunshine" is Shelton's follow up to his 2013 effort, "Based on a True Story..." That album has yielded five chart-topping hits, including Blake's current single, "My Eyes" featuring Gwen Sebastian.
According to the “Philadelphia Inquirer,” Shelton pointed out the massive number of country fans visible on the beach, in the water and on the Atlantic City boardwalk: "I ain't kidding when I say I have never seen so many country-music fans in one place in my life." He also performed at New York City’s Madison Square Garden this weekend and offered a second free concert in Atlantic City yesterday – assisted ably Lady Antebellum.
