~~Lady Antebellum scored the highest chart debut in their seven year career Monday with the release of "Downtown" from their upcoming fourth studio album.
With 109 radio stations adding the song to their playlists today, Lady A storms the charts at 25 on Billboard and 34 on Mediabase.
Lady A debuted the song last night on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and will tape "CMT Crossroads" with Stevie Nicks today in Los Angeles.
~~ Tim McGraw is set to perform aboard the aircraft carrier/museum ship USS Midway in San Diego harbor for a Ram Country on Yahoo! Music live stream event Feb. 5. The performance takes place the day of his first release from the label, "Two Lanes Of Freedom" and wraps a two-day launch event that includes a VIP radio reception and a radio remote on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 4-5).
~~Thompson Square were returning home from a show in Pembroke Pines, Fla. on Monday morning when their tour bus was blindsided by a car just a few minutes from home.
The duo posted a picture on Twitter. According to one tweet, "A woman just didnt see us early this morning and hit us as we crossed the highway. It was pretty foggy."
That tweet was deleted and replaced with, "well the bus saga continues. 5:30am someone just blindsided us. 20 minutes from home #AWESOME"
No additional information has been released about the accident . No word if anyone was hurt.
~~Kelly Clarkson is opening up about her wedding ceremony — which will likely take place toward the end of 2013.
Clarkson says, "We're actually thinking the fall this year. We're thinking outside. We are trying to make it small, but it's hard. I literally had a breakdown two weeks ago about the wedding list."
And the Texas native has enlisted her friend, Blake Shelton, as the wedding singer for the big day. She says, "Blake is going to play at our reception. We're very excited."
~~Gretchen Wilson has announced plans for three new albums on her Redneck Records label in 2013. Wilson has already released a new single, "Still Rollin'," from an album of new material titled "Right on Time", scheduled for an April 2 release.
Wilson will release an album of 1970s rock songs titled "Under the Covers" on May 28, followed by her first Christmas album in October.
~~A tribute album to John Denver will be released on April 2 by ATO Records. The project includes new recordings from Brandi Carlile and Emmylou Harris ("Take Me Home, Country Roads"), Old Crow Medicine Show ("Back Home Again") and Train ("Sunshine on My Shoulders"), among many others. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wilderness Society.
Denver died in a plane crash in 1997.
