Taylor Swift Tour Breaks A Major Record

Swift breaks a major record

Taylor Swift's "Red" tour has just broken an impressive record.  The run is now the highest grossing single tour by a country artist ever.  The 15-month outing grossed $150-million, beating the old record set by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s "Soul2Soul" tour, which made $141-million between 2006 and 2007.

As for T-Swift, her “Red” tour started March 13th, 2013 and has spanned 12 countries. The North American leg closed with three sold out shows in Nashville in September before heading Down Under. In 2014, she traveled to Europe and Asia, and closed up shop June 12th with a performance in Singapore.  In all, more than 1.7-million fans caught Taylor during her 86 performances.

  • While she savors that victory, Miss Thang is working on her next album. Over the holiday weekend, however, she did take time to enjoy the 4th of July with some of her friends at the ocean...and shared the experience with her fans via Facebook
