Buffalo Bills fans have known nothing but loss and heartbreak for so long. They've enjoyed only one winning season (9-7 in 2004) in the last 14 years, and, of course, lost four straight Super Bowls in the early '90s. But they can finally celebrate winning something.
According to a writer who visited every single NFL stadium to write his book The Ultimate Road Trip, the Buffalo Bills have the drunkest fans in the NFL. It's not hard to understand why.
Sean MacDonald writes, "Bills fans are the drunkest I witnessed on my trip. That is true before, during and after the game." He says most Bills fans at Ralph Wilson Stadium "are unable to hold their liquor and lose control, becoming a danger to others or to themselves."
MacDonald writes, "Inside the stadium seemed like a free-for-all at times, with fans moving around constantly and far too many in the advanced stages of inebriation." He says the real game going on inside the stadium is to see how fast fans can get drunk. (Sports Illustrated)
