Tonight’s Full Moon Is Special… Largest Eclipse In A While

The full moon is tonight. This is the “Frosty Moon” or the “Beaver Moon.” Peak illumination is just before 2a our time tonight.

But even better… tonight’s moon is the longest partial lunar eclipse of this century and the longest in 580 years. NASA says the eclipse will be three hours and 28 minutes. A lunar eclipse happens when the sun, Earth, and a full moon form a near-perfect lineup in space.
