The experts say:

  • You should set your temp at 68 when you’re home.
  • You should also plan to have 8-10 hours a day when you set the temp about 10 degrees lower than that. Doing that will save you about 10% on your heating bill. I do this at night. The experts say this is a best time to do it as the cooler room with a warm bed helps you sleep better.
