What Are Our Favorite Christmas Cookies?

There’s a lot to love about the holidays, but Christmas cookies are definitely high on the list. A new poll from Monmouth [[MON-muth]] University looks at which varieties of the seasonal treat people like most, along with some other festive fun questions.

According to the survey results:

  • Americans are getting into the holiday spirit with activities including playing Christmas music (76%), decorating their homes (75%), making Christmas cookies or desserts (69%) and volunteering (43%).
  • One traditional holiday activity people aren’t into? Caroling, as only 9% plan to go carol singing this year. That’s down from the previous low of 22% in the 1996 poll.
  • The poll also asks Americans which of Santa’s lists they think they’ll be on this year, and a lot of folks think they’ve been really good as 79% say they’re definitely making the “nice list.” Only 10% think they’ll be on the “naughty” list, while 11% aren’t sure.
  • Nearly half of Americans have a favorite Christmas cookie, but many can’t decide on just one.
