A new survey uncovers the biggest dating app turn-offs that send people swiping left in an instant.

The poll of 1,000 singles from FindingTheOne.com reveals these are the top dealbreakers:

  • People who won’t pass the “parental approval test” leads the list, as 68% of daters have swiped left on someone they don’t think their parents would approve of.
  • Lifestyle choices like drinking and smoking can be a no-no, with 38% saying they avoid matches who show these habits in their profiles. After all, what would mom and dad think?
  • Education is important, a third of singles (33%) admit they prioritize a partner with a degree.
  • Financial stability matters too, as 29% confess they don’t want to date anyone with a “low-paying” profession.
  • Some singles are opposed to visible tattoos, 17% would just say no to someone with multiple tattoos.
  • But it’s not just your job or looks that can get you tossed out of the dating pool, poor grammar could, too. Bad spelling or grammar is a turn-off for 26% of people.
  • Especially in this election year, 22% say political views could be a deal-breaker.
  • And 12% get the ick from religious beliefs.
