Pregnant Georgia Mother Faced Jailtime Over Potty-Training Toddler

A Georgia mother faced potential jailtime after an officer cited her for her toddler peeing in public. She told the story on @MooteKimmieOtis this morning.

Brooke Johns was just doing what pretty much every parent has to do, and that's tend to a potty trainer with not much control as fast as you can. That almost landed her in jail. Her son Cohen yelled from the back seat, as she was driving, "'Mom, I've got to pee. I've got to pee!'" she told the WRDW. "I was like, 'Well, hold on,' and he's like, 'No! I've GOT to pee! I've got to REALLY pee.' And I'm like, 'Baby, there's nowhere for me to go, and he says, 'Momma, I'm about to pee in my pants!'"

The panic of trying to get your child to a restroom is real. No one wants an accident in the car or in their pants. You don't always make it though. That was the case for Brooke who said she rushed to get him out of the van at a gas station, but being pregnant made it hard. That's when he couldn't hold it any longer, so she pulled his pants down next to the car door and blocked him from behind and let it fly. Who hasn't done this?!

It just so happened that an officer in Augusta saw this happening and swooped in to fight "crime". She told MKO, "I went through shock. And then I went through rage" talking about the officers conduct. She said it wasn't her intention to peeing the parking lot, "it just kind of happened". Aside from this being a completely ridiculous reason to pull someone over and write a ticket for "disorderly conduct", Brooke said the officer "he was belittling me as a mother and saying that wasn't responsible of me as a mother."

The incident happened in 2019 but recently resurfaced online in a Mom's group. Brooke finally got the charges officially dropped by the court.

She told MKO, "I actually was very close to dying giving birth to my youngest child and my doctor swears to this day that is was because of the stress I was under [from this]."

This just seems so ludacris to even believe happened but it's true. A local officer from Atlanta called into show as well [audio above] saying this officer was very out of line and violated several of this woman's constitutional rights in this stop. He even pointed out that a child of that age cannot be charged with a crime, so this was an illegal detainment from the get go. (LISTEN ABOVE)
