George Strait is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his "Pure Country" soundtrack by releasing it on vinyl. The special edition will be available on September 15th, the same day the album hit stores in 1992. "Pure Country" marked Strait's first starring role in a major film. He played Dusty Chandler, a disillusioned country singer who returns to his Texas roots to sort out his life. The film was popular among country fans and the soundtrack sold more than six million copies. It remains Strait's best-selling single album. He will emphasize music from "Pure Country" during his appearances at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 1st and 2nd.
