If you are still stumped about what to get your fella for Christmas this year, it turns out you are thinking way too hard, because chances are what they want can simply be found in your wallet.
According to a new UK poll, which could easily translate here, most men really just want money for Christmas. That’s right, the survey found that 56% of fellas would rather have cold hard cash under the Christmas tree than an actual present. Men don’t have it as easy when looking for a gift for their gal, because only 45% of women say they’d rather have cash than presents.
And it seems cash is also king for the younger generation, with 62% of 18 to 34-year-olds wanting cash this holiday season, as compared to 61% of those over 55 who’d rather have a traditional present. In fact, 18% of those over 55 say money displays a lack of effort and thought on the gift giver’s part.
Of course, it seems money isn’t exactly an appropriate gift from everyone. Most people say that it’s really only acceptable from parents, not friends. As for what they’ll do with that cash, 43% will use it for something they really want, while 16% plan to save it.
