It probably shouldn’t be too shocking to find out that many Americans worry a lot about their appearance, but you may be surprised to find out the aspect of their appearance they worry about most.
A new study finds that most Americans worry most about the appearance of their teeth. Now the study was conducted by Pronamel, so maybe we should take it with a grain of salt, but it finds that 67% of Americans are worried about the appearance of their teeth, which is more than they worry about their hair (62%), weight (57%), skin (53%) and clothing (41%).
And it’s not just the appearance of their teeth that worry folks. In fact, 83% of people cite oral health as their top health-related priority, which is more than mental health (78%,) exercise (7%) and diet (71%).
As for their biggest oral health worries, 65% of people are concerned about the cleanliness of their teeth. Other worries include:
- Health of teeth (63%)
- How my breath smells (47%)
- Cavity protection (47%)
- Whiteness of teeth (39%)
