When it comes to their sex lives, there are people who would never consider talking about it with anyone, while others have no problem sharing every juicy detail, and you may be surprised by how many people like to share.
A new poll finds that 65% of Americans say they're comfortable sharing their sex lives with others, with 29% saying they are “very comfortable” doing so. It’s no surprise that folks want to talk about it, because it seems they are thinking about it all the time, with the poll finding that most people think about sex eight times a day, leading to them talking about it five times a day.
Of course, who they talk about sex with is another thing. The most common person to share deets with is their partner/significant other/spouse (61%), followed by best friend (60%). Other people folks are comfortable talking about sex with include:
- Friends (40%)
- Co-workers (28%)
- Roommates (26%)
So, why are people talking about sex? Well, apparently for 54% of people, they do it in order to get advice on sex. The most common source of advice for people is to discuss it with their significant other or spouse (47%,) followed by reaching out to friends (45%). Other ways to get sex advice include:
- Reading articles online (43%)
- Browsing through a sex-positive magazine (35%)
- Engaging in forums on the internet (35%)
