Now that we are going to get groceries less often, I ran across this great article on the things that you should NOT store in the fridge. I think I violated at least half of these rules.
I never knew that cucumbers, tomatoes and onions should not be stored in the fridge. (OH yeah, and don't store the onions near the potatoes in the pantry!)
