A new survey found that 62% of respondents said their pet was their best friend and 60% described their pet as their soulmate.
How much love to these pet owners have for their furry friends? 81% said they wouldn’t think twice before saving their pet from immediate danger. 60% said they would run into a burning building to save their pet and the same percentage said they would fight another human to save their pet.
And it turns out a lot of pet owners look for the same signs of love from their pets that they look for in their partners – like their pet following them around (63%), giving them kisses (59%), and sleeping in their bed (53%).
Wait, there’s more … 84% of Gen Z say they are likely to include their pet in their wedding or other big life event, and more than 75% of Gen Z respondents said they are likely to get a tattoo inspired by their pet.
And, sorry cat lovers … 80% of respondents feel more tied to their dog than their cat. (SWNS)
