The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is delaying the opening from June 11 to July 1. No surprise, but it’s for fire safety. A spark could ignite a wildfire in an area that is super dry still. The train runs on 64 miles of narrow-gauge tracks between Chama, New Mexico, and Antonito, Colorado.
