Taco Bell is giving guests free tacos every Tuesday this month, starting today and running through September 5. The fast food chain announced guests can receive one free Doritos Locos Taco every Tuesday from August 15th to September 5th. To get yours, walk into just about any Taco Bell and say, “Give me a free Doritos Locos Taco.” No other purchase is necessary.
The decision comes after the Taco John's restaurant chain dropped it's trademark on the term "Taco Tuesday," making it possible for other businesses to use the phrase.
Taco Bell released a statement saying "Taco Tuesday belongs to all who make, sell, eat and celebrate tacos." In addition to letting the trademark go, Taco John's also donated 40-thousand to the non-profit organization Children of Restaurant Employees, which helps provide financial relief to restaurant workers with children.
