The Most Popular Canned Cocktails & Mocktails This Summer

Canned cocktails aren’t new, they’ve actually been around for decades, but they’ve definitely improved over time and they’ve become very trendy. Not only do they taste better than they used to, there are countless affordable, portable options available for anyone who wants to crack open a cold one, with booze or without. And a new study reveals the most popular canned cocktails and mocktails.

  • Upgraded Points used Google Trends search data to find out each state’s top choices.
  • They compiled a list of 74 popular canned cocktails and wines and 25 canned mocktails. Their research team analyzed the regional interest in each one based on Google searches from May 2023 to May 2024.

The Most Popular Canned Boozy Beverages:

  • High Noon is the favorite canned cocktail in seven states - Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Wyoming.
  • Buzz Ball is the most popular here in NM.
  • Bev, a canned wine, is the top choice in five states - Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, South Dakota and Vermont.
  • Cutwater Spirits, known for high-quality ingredients and tasty flavors, is also number one in five states - Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, Missouri and Washington, D.C.
  • Another canned wine, Kim Crawford, is most popular in four states - Illinois, Louisiana, Nebraska and New Hampshire.
  • The Miami Cocktail Company wins in Florida, White Claw is the most popular in Alabama and Wisconsin, while in Georgia they prefer Tip Top Proper Cocktails and in New York, Cocktail Squad is number one.

As for Mocktails:

  • Hiyo Social Tonic takes the top spot in 11 states - Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Wisconsin.
  • Recess is the most popular in eight states, including Kansas, Nebraska, and Tennessee.
  • Mingle Mocktails leads in seven states, including Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and Texas.
