Bernalillo county is installing 6 speed cameras on roads with high crash rates
A 30-day warning period will start Monday for the speed cameras. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 25, the cameras will operate 24/7.
The county plans to add six more cameras on larger roads like Alameda and Coors after the New Mexico Department of Transportation approves it.
If you get caught speeding by these new cameras, they will get a notice in the mail. The person can either pay the $100 fine or pay $25 and do four hours of community service.
