What Not To Do Today, Friday The 13th
Today is Friday the 13th. While just a normal day for many of us, Western tradition -- and many slasher movies -- tell us it could be an unlucky day. If you're one of those who don't want to tempt fate on Friday 13th, then you might want to be careful not to do things that, according to legend, bring bad luck, here is the list of 13:
- Don’t walk under a ladder.
- Do not serve 13 people for dinner.
- Cover your mouth when yawning to keep the devil out.
- Don’t date – it will be doomed.
- Don’t open an umbrella indoors.
- Do not leave mirrors uncovered.
- Do not cross a knife and fork.
- Don’t spill the salt.
- Don’t put new shoes on the table.
- Ladies don’t get on a ship because you’ll endanger the crew.
- Don’t walk on a crack.
- Do not cut your hair or nails.
And, for safe measure, avoid black cats.
