Allan Russell Clears Up How He Feels About Wife Jana Kramer's NSFW Scenes

Allan Russell immediately clarified his opinions about his wife, Jana Kramer, filming sex scenes in movies or TV shows when the married couple kicked off a new episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer.

Russell pointed out a “crazy headline” from a discussion that took place on the podcast earlier this month. Without revealing the news source, Russell said the headline reads, “Why Jana Kramer’s Husband Won’t Allow Her To Do Sex Scenes.”

“The ‘allow’ part is the kind of elephant in the room. That’s the controlling, ‘you’re not allowed to do this,’ ‘you’re not allowed to do that,’” Russell said on the new episode of the podcast. “If the opportunity is good for your career, then it’s clearly a marital discussion. And if you feel it’s good for your career, then I’m never gonna hold you back from doing something. You know that. Deep down, I might say, it’s just because I don’t want you to do that, but it doesn’t mean I’m gonna be selfish and detrimental to your career, or one scene on a TV show or movie.”

Kramer said she “can respect that it would be tough and challenging if something like that came up. But also I know you truly wouldn’t say ‘you are not allowed to do that.’”

“No. Never,” Russell agreed. “If it’s good for your career, there’s no part of me that would stand in the way.”

Kramer caught up with Kristin Brust on the show earlier this week, discussing that headline and other “hot topics” throughout the conversation. She said at that time that Russell acknowledged he “will never like it [his wife filming a sex scene],” but would not want her to reject a significant role. Kramer said she believes “it should be a discussion.”

Kramer also revealed her dream acting gig during the latest Whine Down episode with Russell: “I would like to be in a [Yellowstone creator] Taylor Sheridan show. So I’m just gonna put that out there for 2025, and if we could just manifest that, it’d be great.”
