Maddie & Tae have some advice for all of the ladies who are going for a night on the town this New Year's Eve, and funny enough, these words of wisdom came earlier this year when they released their song "Kissing Cowboys."
On Instagram, the girls shared a video of themselves performing the song live as the lyrics flashed on the screen to help drive the point home. They sang, "Now don't think too much/ Here's how it go/ Eeny meeny, eeny meeny, eeny miney mo/ Paint your lips then you shoot one back/ If you break his heart, do it on his tab/ Wave goodbye, then you reapply/ There just might be a John Wayne hidin' in the here and now boys/ So, keep on kissing cowboys."
The duo captioned the post, "a little NYE advice for our girls hitting the town tomorrow."
It's been quite the year for Maddie & Tae as they released their latest album Love & Light back in May, and also hit the road on a small tour to support their new music.
However, the duo shocked fans when they announced their split towards the end of the year. Speaking to PEOPLE, Maddie shared that even though they are going their separate ways for the time-being, they are "leaving this so open-ended because, you know, we might make another record one day," adding, "We might go do some tour dates one day."
Font also explained, "Even though we’re not gonna go on this journey as Maddie & Tae together, we’re still walking and doing life together outside of it. And I think I’m really excited to just be best friends and nurture our friendship and not have to worry as much about the work and still get to raise our babies together. None of that changes."
