Miranda Lambert hasn’t opened up too much about how she dealt with her split from husband Blake Shelton, but apparently it did involve some booze. During her recent rehearsal show in Chicago she told the crowd, “I got divorced, so I started drinking a little extra.”
But after drowning her sorrows she was inspired to write the song, “Ugly Lights,” which is featured on her new album “The Weight of These Wings."
“I found myself in Midtown in Nashville three nights in a row at like last call and with the lights coming on, and I’d be sitting there,” she added. “So I wrote a song about it.” Check out video of Miranda’s performance to the right.
