Lady Antbellum was on "CBS This Morning" yesterday to announce the nominees for the 52nd Annual ACM Awards, and Keith Urban is the man to beat.
Keith leads this year’s pack with seven nominations in five categories, including his seventh nod for Entertainer of the Year and his 10th for Male Vocalist of the Year. Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris come in a close second to Keith with six nods each, with both up for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Other artists with multiple nods include Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw with five each, and Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton with three.
As for the coveted Entertainer of the Year category, Keith will be going head-to-head with Jason Aldean, FGL, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood.
- Among this year's snubs: Blake Shelton failed to receive a nod despite his hit album "If I'm Honest" coming out this year, while Kenny Chesney was missing from the Entertainer of the Year category as was Garth Brooks. And even though Sturgill Simpson won the GRAMMY for Country Album of the Year, he too got snubbed, although he hasn't had too many nice things to say about the ACMs so it's not surprising.
The 52nd Annual ACM Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, airs April 2nd on CBS at 8 pm, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
