We love our coffee and since none of us are giving up our beloved brew anytime soon, we can at least try to make it as good for us as possible. So using data from the United Nation’s new Human Development Report - which ranks the countries with people who live the longest, happiest lives - this is how the healthiest people in the world drink their coffee.
- Norway - They’re serious about their coffee in this Scandinavian country. In the capital city of Oslo, they use progressive brew methods and pay close attention to the origin of the beans. The way Norwegians like their coffee is from lightly roasted beans, which create an “elegant, tea-like drink.” And you can skip the cream and sugar, they serve it black in Norway.
- Australia - The folks down under are “self-professed coffee snobs” - so much so that Starbucks didn’t catch on there when it first tried in 2000. For the Aussies, coffee is all about “quality espressos, not cream and sugar,” like Americans do it.
- Switzerland - The Swiss like their coffee strong and robust. The most popular choices are dark roast espresso and ‘kaffee crème’ - which is an espresso-based drink with cream.
