SHANIA TWAIN TO PLAY NEW SONGS AT STAGECOACH?

Shania Twain is set to headline this year’s Stagecoach Festival, which kicks off April 28th, and she’s certainly excited at the prospect, and even hinted that she may perform some new music during her set.

“I’m so excited because I’ve heard a lot about Stagecoach over all of these years and I really can’t believe that I’m only doing it now for the first time actually,” Shania tells the "Orange County Register." “It’s never too late for firsts.”

Shania’s new album is expected in the fall, and it will be her first record since 2002’s “Up,” which she made with her then-husband Mutt Lange. “This was an exercise in independence,” Shania says of writing the album. “I really just wanted to test myself and push my limits and face my fears." She adds, "I haven’t worked alone in a really, really long time…It was a huge leap of courage for me to do this alone and I knew I was going to be carrying the weight of it alone, too.”

So far Shania hasn’t revealed much about when the new album or even a new single may be out, but she did share the titles of some new tracks, including “Life’s About to Get Good” and “I’m Alright,” noting that they are both “optimistic” tunes, as well as “Light Of My Life.”

  • ONE MORE THING! Speaking of new music, Shania teased that she would be talking about her new music on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” earlier this week, and fans who stayed up turned out to be disappointed because she didn’t make any announcements about an upcoming single or album. She did open up about having stage fright when she was a teenager, and told a hilarious story about an accident she had because of it.
