The weather pattern is changing as we get back to normal temps and some chances of snow in the mountains. Resorts continue to make snow as weather allows. This week Santa Fe, Angel Fire, and Purgatory all opened more terrain. Check out the latest conditions below.

Sandia Peak:

Notes: Ready to start snowmaking as soon as cooler temps arrive and will open when conditions allow.

What’s New: They are working to restore Chair 2 to its original state! Once completed, Chair 2 will provide quick and easy access to the top of the mountain. They have also made key improvements to the snowmaking system to ensure more consistent conditions.

Notes: The upper mountain is open with Upper and Middle Gayway off the Tesuque Peak Tripple. Snowmaking teams continue making snow.

What’s new: In the beginner area, the Beginner Double Chairlift has been replaced with the former Super Chief Quad, which provides smoother access to beginner terrain and more uphill capacity (and more room on the chairs!).

The tubing hill is open from 10-4 daily through December 31. The Mountain Coaster is also open weather and conditions permitting daily from 10-4 through January 4. The upper lot parking is for vehicles with 4+ passengers only please!

Notes: Due to rain at the lower levels of the mountain the beginner area is closed. The lifts affected are Hart Prairie Chairlift, Aspen Chairlift, Humphrey’s Chairlift, Big Spruce Conveyor. The terrain around and under these chairs is also closed.
