Burger King pulled a fast one on its customers in 2018 when they announced a ‘Chocolate Whopper’ as an April Fool’s prank, but that joke is now a reality!
The original gag was really an ourtrageous dessert with a chocolate cake bun, chocolate patty, white chocolate rings, raspberry sauce and candied oranges, but this new burger is REAL. It’s called the Hershey’s Chocolate Whopper—a Whopper slathered with chocolate sauce.
Evidently the bittersweet chocolate notes help pull out flavor and there is also apparently peanut sauce as well. Unfortunately, it’s only being introduced in Taiwan at the present time, but there was a 328-foot line to get one on September 1st, the one day it was offered. They sold 506 burgers on that day so we can only hope to get a taste of it here, or do we really need a Chocolate Whopper in the US?
