A young woman turned to Twitter to help her father’s small business that’s been struggling during the pandemic. When 21-year-old Giselle Aviles found out her dad’s taco truck only sold $6 one day, she made a heartwarming plea on Twitter asking people to help.
Her tweet asked folks to retweet her post in an effort to get more customers to support the Humble, Texas, food truck. And it worked! The next day, she’d gotten around 2-thousand retweets and when her father showed up at his food truck the following day, he had a line of customers waiting for him.
They were so busy that day that they had to close twice - once to restock and again when they completely sold out. Giselle estimates more than 100 customers came to eat that day and the next day was busy as well. She says she appreciates the support and has now made an Instagram page to help more people find the food truck.
