The Best Diets For 2021

It’s safe to say that a lot of Americans made a New Year's resolution to lose weight in 2021, which means a lot of people are probably trying to figure out the best way to do it. Well "U.S. News & World Report" is here to help, releasing the results of their 2021 Best Diets list, with health experts ranking 39 diets in categories like Best Overall Diet, Best Weight Loss Diet and more.

Here are the results: 

  • The Mediterranean Diet, which puts an emphasis on fruits and vegetables, olive oil, fish and other healthy fare, was named the Best Overall Diet for a fourth year in a row.
  • The Mediterranean Diet, which research suggests can ward off chronic diseases and improve longevity, is also tops for Best Diet for Healthy Eating (tied with DASH Diet), Easiest Diet to Follow, and Best Diet for Diabetes (tied with Flexitarian).
  • Weight Watchers, or WW as they are known now, once again tops the list for Best Commercial Diet and Best Weight Loss Diet (tied with the Flexitarian Diet).
