Jake Owen is set to make his acting debut in the new film “Our Friend” and just gave fans a first look at his performance on Instagram.
Jake shares that the movie is based on “inspiring and extraordinary true story,” of journalist Matt Teague, played by Casey Affleck, his wife Nicole, played by Dakota Johnson, and the couple’s best friend, played by Jason Segel, who moves in with them to help out after Nicole is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
“I’ve never been in a “movie” before so I won’t lie.. sitting down in front of Dakota Johnson, Jason Segel, and Casey Affleck and acting like I knew what I was doing, was a bit of a challenge,” Jake shares. “I’ve always loved a good challenge.”
The movie opens in theaters and streaming on January 22nd.
