A new survey found that 74% of parents of school-age kids say their kids have a much healthier diet than they did when they were growing up. 69% of parents want their kids to eat more plant-based foods and 72% say their kids are more open to trying new foods than they were. 85% of parents say they want their kids to have healthier snack options. Maybe that’s because 76% of the parents polled said they ate too much junk food as a kid.
On the other hand … A new study from Tufts University found that kids and teens today are eating way more ultra-processed foods than they were 20 years ago, and these ultra-processed foods account for more than two-thirds of their diet.
