September Is Shaping Up To Be The "Most Cheating" Month!

Now that summer’s practically over, lots of couples are probably getting ready for a nice long cuffing season, where they’ll stay holed up at home with their sweetie. But it turns out, the cold weather may not be so good for couples, with cheating likely to be on the rise.

A new survey by Illicit Affairs suggests that September is the month when many people realize they need a break from their SO, and start looking for love elsewhere. And while this is normal for September, the site suggests it’s even more of a case this year after 18 months of being stuck with their partner due to the pandemic.

In fact, the poll finds 54% of people claim they reassessed their relationship during the pandemic, while 34% of women and 32% of men feel less passionate about their partners after spending so much time at home with them. Plus, with some folks returning to the office, 78% say being in the office makes it easier to cheat.

"September is always the busiest month of the year for affairs and it is why we call it Sex-tember,” sex and relationship expert Jessica Leoni shares. “Long summer holidays are a turning point for so many couples - they realize they have little in common and the sex is still boring even when they are basking in paradise.”

Leoni calls the pandemic a “game changer” when it comes to relationships, noting, "They will use September to start completely afresh, knowing they can sleep around safely because the vaccination program has taken the sting out of the virus,” adding, "If your partner starts behaving oddly after returning to the office in September, they could well be up to no good."
