MovieMaker Magazine has named Albuquerque the Best Place to Live and Work as a Moviemaker in North America. That’s the fourth year in a row Albuquerque took the top spot in the Big Cities category. The city was first ranked No. 1 in 2010 and has made the annual list every year since 2007. It fell out of the top 10 just once, when it ranked No. 11 in 2013. The report says Albuquerque’s increased production spending of over $100 million during the fiscal year 2021 compared to the 2019 fiscal year.
MovieMaker reports “the production boom is breathing new life into the entire city” as the fiscal year 2022 is expected to continue the upward trend.
Santa Fe was also on the list coming in at number three in the Small Cities & Towns category.
