There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a yummy snack now and then, but sometimes it’s difficult to snack in peace, which is why lots of people have places they go so they can snack in secret, and some of them are just odd.
A new UK survey, which could easily translate here, finds:
- Snacking in bed is the top secret snacking spot, and while that’s not so odd, other places can be a bit strange.
- Over a fifth of those polled say they like to snack in the bath.
- And 18% actually say they snack on the toilet.
- Other secret snacking spots include:
- While driving
- On the stairs
- The shed
- A public stairwell
- In an elevator
- In a storage room at work
- During exercise
- In the hot tub
- In a laundry room
- Up in the attic
- A child’s playhouse.
- 5% have even admitted to enjoying a snack while having sex.
- As for why folks will find secret places to snack, a third say it’s simply due to being extremely hungry.
- Sadly, 25% say it’s because they feel judged for snacking.
- 30% of people believe their family and friends would be shocked by their snacking behavior.
- 25% have actually been caught in their secret snacking spot.
As for what folks like to secretly snack on most:
- Potato chips are the top choice, followed by chocolate bars and cookies.
- 22% say they go for chicken nuggets.
- 20% prefer protein-packed snacks.
