The folks at WordTips decided to see which cities and states swear the most. Using social media data, they compiled a list broken out by city, state and even first names. Here are some highlights:
- Albuquerque came in number 3 overall in terms of cities for the number of swears per Tweet. Stockton, CA and Atlanta are the two who have more than us.
- Tuesday is the most likely day to cuss.
- Independence Day is holiday when we sear the most.
- East coast people prefer the S-word.
- West coast people prefer the F-word.
- Our most-used swear word here in NM is the F-word. Same for Texas and Colorado.
This is really interesting. =-) Who knew there was so much to cussing!
