When I saw this video, it kinda spooked me, being a snowboarder.
So this happened in the country of Georgia. Several skiers were hurt when the lift suddenly started going backwards at a high rate of speed. Skiers were sent flying as they came down to the base of the lift and chairs were smashing into each other.
At least eight people were injured. Luckily no fatalities were reported.
Skiers were being transported uphill at the Gudauri ski resort when it suddenly began running backwards at double its normal speed.
