DC super-hero movies have not been performing well, with their latest releases “Blue Beetle” and “The Flash” both missing the mark at the box office. With that in mind, fans have been worried that “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is being abandoned ahead of its release on December 20th.
But just as fans were starting to lose hope that they wouldn’t even get a trailer for the movie, DC dropped a teaser Sunday night! The full trailer comes out Thursday night, but in the meantime fans got their first look at what they can expect in the sequel.
The teaser is brief, but shows Aquaman dealing with a giant robot, giant explosions, and giant fish! Even Black Manta makes an appearance, vowing to kill Aquaman and “everything he holds dear.”
The trailer drop comes hours after the Hollywood press questioned whether Warner Bros. believed in the film.
