2021 brought moviegoers a reboot of 80s classic comedy/action franchise “Ghostbusters” with “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” And now in 2024 the series is set to bring back even more of its OG stars for “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.”
A new trailer’s been dropped that features Annie Potts and OG (human) villain William Atherton as Walter Peck back for another go at the supernatural. This time, however, the movie is also bringing back a famous ghost. Slimer makes an appearance doing what he does best… sliming ghost-busting star Finn Wolfhard.
Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Ernie Hudson return in what seems to be even-bigger roles than in “Afterlife,” while returning stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, and McKenna Grace join the paranormal eliminating-squad for the second time. The new movie is due out March 22nd.
