If you gaze upward tonight after sunset, you might catch the six-planet parade, with Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus in the southeastern sky and Venus, Saturn, and Neptune in the southwest. Mercury will also appear in the southwestern sky. However, Saturn and Neptune will be the hardest to see because they'll be close to the horizon. Binoculars or a telescope will be needed to see Uranus and Neptune.
After tonight, Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune will appear too close to the Sun to be visible, and a "complete" planetary parade won't take shape again until 2040.
