According to a new survey, nearly three out of five kids plan to ask for a video game-related gift this year.
The survey also found -- surprisingly — that a bunch of kids don't just want a game. They want their parents to play the game with them.
58% of all kids say they want to play more video games with their parents, with that number jumping to 73% for ages 5 to 7, 66% for ages 8 to 9, and 62% for ages 10 to 12.
All that video game bonding time can come at a cost — because there's plenty to spend money on. Not only are there physical games and consoles to purchase, there's also in-game currency, video game accessories, and video game subscriptions.
